Cebu is no doubt one of the most busiest city in the Philippines, and the most diverse of of all the major cities in the Philippines when it comes to activities and nearby beautiful places to visit, either you’re on holiday or doing business.

If you don’t know yet, Cebu is the first Capital City of the Philippines during Spanish Era, and home to the oldest street in the Philippines - Colon Street.

Anyway, I am not here to discuss the city’s history, but to share you some of the things that you can do in city while traveling to visit or on business.

Street Food in Cebu is one of the best in Asia, yes in Asia, and here are some of the places you should go if you want to try the best street food joints in the city.

1. Larsian

The place have evolved thru time, and still the best place to eat in cebu, street food style. Located at Don Mariano Cui St, Cebu City, Cebu, few meters away from Ching Hua Hospital.

From seafood barbeque to soup, seaweeds, pork and chicken barbeque, some intestines - chicken and pork, this would be complete with the tradition wrapped rice “PUSO”, there are fruit stands too!

2. Pungko Pungko sa Apas

Next to the busiest business center in cebu, IT Park, a walking distance from the park. This place is popular to employees, students looking for quick fix on hungryness at a very affordable price! If your not into fried foods, this is not for you, but if you for trying sake, it can be a good experience for you.

And since it is located in the IT Park, you can do alot of activities afterward, visit a local brewing place nearby, or drink coffee at a nearby cafe, few best bars and hangout places in cebu are located in the vicinity.

3. Ngohiong Express

I remember when I was still in college studying in one of the universities in the city, this cebu famous street food name - ngohiong, are sold only on the sidewalk, by small vendors, putting it all in a small basket, and a detacheable smal chairs and table, where you can seat and eat with others. It was known as “PUNGKO PUNGKO” since you have to seat is small, low chair, eat with your hands (wrapped with plastic).

But now ngohiong are sold everywhere, malls, restaurants, carenderias and eateries, its a some kind of Cebu originally made street food.
